The Center for Migration Studies
(CMS) is an educational nonprofit institute founded
in New York in 1964 to encourage and facilitate the study of
socio-demographic,
economic, political, historical, legislative, and pastoral
aspects of human migration
and refugee movements.
Fordham University School of Law was founded in 1905 and its
15,000 living alumni
practice in 49 states and 35 countries worldwide. The schools
nationally recognized
Clinical Program Interest Resource Center protects and advances
immigration advocacy efforts through their Immigration Rights
Clinic and Immigration Advocacy Project.
Conference Speakers
Following a 28-year policy, each session will include
international and national experts
from a range of international agencies, government offices,
legal practices and law schools, the social sciences, and
voluntary agencies.
Conference Format
The general session will consist of presentations followed by a
significant block of time
for audience questions to panel members.
At the Monday Evening Reception, participants will meet scholars
and policymakers prominent in the migration field.
Participants
Participants will have ample time for questions and answers
after each session and for exchanging views during coffee
breaks, luncheon and evening reception. There will be
opportunities to interact with speakers and key policymakers at
this unique international event.
